And We're Off

So the Cyclocross season got under way on Sunday the 2nd.
It was a great day with over 200 competitors in all the races.
I came 31st in the seniors section which I didn’t think was that great until I found out that there were also riders from the Rapha Condor Sharp team racing!
Good fun as always though. Next round is Plean on the 16th.

GT Showers

Went to Glentress today. Weather was miserable but I tried the new sections of the blue route. Amazing. Just swoops and berms all the way down a mountain. I have to say I think I enjoy the blue more than the red. The new showers and changing faciclites are excellent and were well needed.......still have my eats in the hub though and the alpine bikes store is frankly disappointing and over priced.

10/11

So the cold weather isn’t doing much for cycling. Managed out on the CUBE post Xmas in the snow where the cross tyres come in handy. -5 makes for very cold cycling mind you.
First cycle of 2011 was an epic 60k on the Stumpy. The Darvel Kilmarnock Fenwick Whitelees Darvel loop.
Next up is the rescheduled Cyclo Cross Scottish Champs at Irvine on the 23rd of January.
